Underwriter Position
Summary of the Position:
- Underwrite cash advances and business loans in accordance with company guidelines
- Analyze data including business financials, bank statements, credit card statements, credit reports, and tax returns
- Determine credit worthiness and approval amounts
- Evaluate and provide recommendations for guideline exceptions
Our ideal candidate would have between 1 and 4 years of experience, preferably with a financial services company. They would be inquisitive, highly trainable, and be extremely thorough in their work. Our job is to evaluate and mitigate risk, thus “detail oriented” is not just a catchphrase.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Economics or Business related)
- Ability to analyze and interpret business financials
- Must be detailed oriented with solid analytical skills
- Minimum experience: strong internships within a reputable corporate environment or a graduate degree within an analytical field
- Strong communication skills as this role will involve communicating with clients
Highly preferred:
- Credit training/ underwriting experience within commercial lending
- Commercial lending (cash advances & loans)
- Strong financial acumen

Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 1-year experience in the Merchant Cash Advance / Working Capital / Business Funding industry.
- Must have extensive phone sales experience.
- Must have able to display charisma and product knowledge over the phone.
- Excellent problem solvers. Client is explaining their needs, and you must be able to solve their needs.
- We have a CRM that streamlines this entire process to allow you to be able to be more productive. Need to be able to have experience with CRMs. (Velocify, Salesforce, Etc.)

- Computer skills are a must as well. (financial calculations, inputting into CRM, professional e-mails/text messages, document processing, Microsoft office)
